I haven’t really updated you lately regarding the puppies. I think we have been too damned tired. We still are but there is a light at the end of rhe tunnel. My boyfriend has made a welping box for Lily and the puppies. You can see it on the picture above.
The puppies have come on leaps and bounds. They have all opened their eyes and are now walking. There is a video above showing smokey walking. I bet by weekend they will be running around. We are hoping to leave Lily in with them tonight. We have set up an app on the iPad called Arnold. It’s amazing you can use your iPad as a camera and another phone you can use as a receiver. It’s all done through your google account. It doesn’t matter if your phone is Apple or android. You can use both. We have been tuning in when we have been out of the house. The only problem is only one person at a time can watch the puppies. So we keep logging each other out which is frustrating when I am logged out ha ha. There will be lots of updates as the puppies develop and grow up. They are nearly 3 weeks old and we will keep them until they are between 10-12 weeks old. So we have plenty of memories to make and we can’t wait. There are exciting times ahead. I will check in again with you soon
Lily is finally bonding with her puppies. We muzzled and geld ger first and she has finally relaxed enough to feed them. It is a massive step.
The pictures above are one of the beautiful puppies. We have a runt and this is the runt. He is my favourite. I am still hoping to be able to keep one. I have spent most of the day getting weed and pooed on. They do after every feed which is every 3 hours at the moment. I do not mind as it’s only puppy poo.
I feel like i have gone back in time by 15 years and it’s like raising a baby but we have 3 to feed. The night feeds are getting to me. Glad it’s the bank holiday so my boyfriend is home to help.
The puppies are doing well but I am not counting my chickings. I will write a how to bottle feed a puppy post if and when the puppies survive.
My daughter has gone to celebrate her exam results to day by going to a music festival. She has made her way there with her friends and is only staying for the day but I am still worried. I have given her the dos and dont’s the main one is don’t fall out with your friends and wander off on your own.
l love music festivals and have been to a number over the years and taken my children to one a few years ago. I hope this will help her know what to do.
I am going to rest as it will be feed time soon. I think I have just persuaded my boyfriend to keep a puppy. As we are bottle feeding them I feel attached to them. I also am only letting the puppies go to friends so we can see how they are and have updates.
There is great excitement in our house. We think the puppies will be here any day. Lily has milk so that is a sign she will be a new mum soon. It’s a nerve racking time. My partner is really stressed with it. I think he is reading up on it too much. He has bought a heat mat today and said that the nursery ( as he calls it) needs to be a 30 degrees. I even caught him putting the heater on yesterday. God knows why. I am not heating the room to 30 degrees when there are no puppies.
He was even up at 6.30 this morning stressing and I have a feeling he will want to sleep down there tonight. I am more calm about this. Maybe it’s cause I am a mum or the fact my cat has kittens a few years ago while I was out. Now that was stressful as I came home to a kitten on my daughters floor with no sign of the cat. I wrapped it in a towel and eventually found the cat in my sons wardorbe with 6 more kittens,
I will update you daily on the puppy situation and fingers crossed we have some good news soon.
Can’t wait this is what our puppies will look like
